After signing up for hyperREMIT and linking your mobile phone number to your hyperREMIT account, simply text 1-206-745-0436 and follow the instructions below to initiate your remittance!

Instructions

Example SMS Remittance

Send an SMS text message to 206-745-0436 as follows:

1. SEND is the command used to INITIATE your remittance request

2. <AMOUNT> is the AMOUNT you want to send (ie, 50, 100, 300 etc.) to your recipient.

3. <CAD, PHP, USD > is the CURRENCY of the transaction.

This can be either CAD, USD or PHP. 

• Do not spell out the currency, it MUST be 3 digits. 
• If the currency of your saved recipient account is different from the currency used in your SMS request, a hyperREMIT customer service agent may contact you to confirm the currency type before processing your remittance.

4. <SAVED RECIPIENT> is the SAVED NICKNAME of your recipient's destination account, that you have saved in hyperREMIT.

Note:

• You MUST link your mobile phone number to your hyperREMIT account before using this feature.
• You MUST include a space between each command (as shown in brackets, above).
• Commands are not case sensitive -- you can text us in lowercase or capital letters.

Example of SMS remittance to "mama", where

"mama" is a nickname on the system for a saved recipient PHP account.

• "send 50 USD mombank" would initiate a request to send $50 USD (or equivalent in PHP) to the recipient's bank account, if the saved recipient nickname was "mombank".
  
  
• "send 100 PHP momhome" would initiate a request to send $100 PHP to the recipient's home via door-to-door delivery, if the saved recipient nickname was "momhome".
  
  
• "send 300 USD mompickup" would initiate a request to send $300 USD (or equivalent in PHP) cash pickup at any China Bank, M.Lhuillier or Cebuana Lhuillier branch in the Philippines, if the saved recipient's nickname was "mompickup".
  
  
• "send 200 CAD mombank" would initiate a request to send $200 CAD (converted to PHP or USD) to the recipient's bank account, if the saved recipient nickname was "mombank".

Time

Steps

1. Link mobile phone number to hyperREMIT account

Log into your hyperREMIT account. Click "Notification Options " link on the left menu. Follow instructions on SMS notifications page to link your mobile phone number to your hyperREMIT account. This is a one-time process.

2. Save or Edit Recipient Details/Nicknames in hyperREMIT

Ensure you've saved recipient accounts & "nicknames" in hyperREMIT before initiating any SMS remittances.

3. Send SMS Remittance Request

1. Text 206-745-0436 to initiate remittance

Follow the SMS instructions above (SEND <AMOUNT> <CURRENCY> <SAVED RECIPIENT>). You will receive a text message containing a confirmation code. Only one request can be made at a time.

2. Reply to Confirmation text message

- Confirm remittance: To proceed with your remittance, reply to the confirmation text message with "Yes XXXX" (where XXXX is your unique 4-digit confirmation code). Be sure to include a space between "Yes" and the 4-digit confirmation code.

 

- Cancel remittance: To cancel a remittance request, reply to the confirmation text message with "No". You can then initiate another remittance request. Only one request can be made at a time.

4. Your remittance will be processed & sent!

SMS remittance complete!

By confirming the remittance confirmation code, your remittance request will be processed & sent during normal business hours. It's that easy!
